Blog Journal Number 6

Hello everyone! My initial experience with Diigo was very interesting because it is a software that I've never used before. I found this software to be very cool to use, as I think it is a great way to connect and spread information with others in a group. Finding different informative websites, like we did in class, and then sharing them to our group on Diigo was a great way to quickly spread different resources to one another. I honestly don't think I've used Diigo enough to find anything that I disliked about it yet. So far I believe it is a great tool to use, especially for teachers.

As for blogging, I've really enjoyed writing down my thoughts about different learning topics each week. I also really enjoy looking at other classmates' blogs to see how they feel or what they learned each week.  I don't have any negative feelings towards blogging, I think this is also another way to make connections with others. Seeing other's thoughts towards the class material has been very interesting because everyone grasps the material differently and has different ideas. Overall, I've been enjoying blogging and seeing my classmates ideas.

A web tool 2.0 that I would like to implement in my classroom is Quizizz. Quizizz is a great tool for teachers to use to help quiz their students for practice. This software helps create interactive tools to help teachers. It allows you to make your own individual quizzes related to the material that you are teaching. Although it would require to use technology in the classroom, I think it would be a great way to get the students more involved with your class.

  1. Quizizz is such a great tool for teachers to use! I like that it's a "quiz" method but it's more for practice, and students get to move at their own pace. When comparing it to "Kahoot," Quizizz is nice because students can move at their own pace and see the questions on their own screen. Kahoot is more fast-paced because the questions are displayed on the screen and everyone is given the same amount of time to answer the question.
